What is the weight capacity for my shelf?

Your shelf's weight capacity will vary depending on its bracket size, shelf thickness, depth and length. To find the weight capacity, visit the individual product pages and view the spec sheets. Weight capacity is listed by number of rods for Aksel brackets and shelf systems. It is listed by linear foot for metal shelving. In order to ensure minimum holding power, please make sure that your bracket or metal shelving is installed into at least 2 studs MINIMUM. Weight capacity is maximized by securing every screw hole along the length of the bracket into a solid substrate like wood blocking or masonry.
